He is white. and Alabama is in the south. Easy enough. LOL Got Redneck?
Answer 2 :
Usually the southern states are Red states....that's the bible belt down there who are very religious and very conservative and very pro guns. Republicans appeal to those kinds of people
Answer 3 :
They don't seem to want to vote for a black man regardless if he is educated, and smart. He's black first and has a funny name second. End of story. (im talking about the majority, im sure there are a few with sense.).
Answer 4 :
Who the cheese grits is Sarah Palin???????????
Answer 5 :
You mean one of the racist states in the country? Duh!
Answer 6 :
To understand you just have to take a look at the demographics for Alabama... White: 70.4% Black of African American: 26.3% American Indian/Alaska Native: 0.2% Asian: 1.0% Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islands: 0.1% Hispanic/Latino (of any race): 2.4% Two or More Races: 1.0% And LOL @ your Palin joke...

Could any college football team go undefeated with Alabama's 1973 murderous schedule

Could any college football team go undefeated with Alabama's 1973 murderous schedule?

Answer 1 :
Very Few ever could. 2001 Miami team, 96 Huskers, 61 Alabama. maybe the 71 Huskers that would be it.
Answer 2 :
Let me get this straight, only 3 teams finished the season ranked in the top 20 in the AP, and the only one in the top ten you played, they lost to. And that's a tough schedule? I am not seeing it. I think there are 5 teams this season that could finish that year undefeated, or at least would have a chance. By comparison, the 2002 Ohio State team beat 2 teams that finished in the top ten, and the 11th and 15th ranked team in the final polls, and people call them overrated all the time. Notice those rankings are final, so it's not like they beat a team that was overrated to start the year or something. I think Alabama is a great team and program, and have had plenty of tough schedules. Like Bam said, back in those days, you saw great out of conference match ups all the time. That particular season wasn't anything out of the ordinary as far as tough schedules.
Answer 3 :
That's how the Bear worked. He didn't schedule cream puffs. To be fair, Miami and VT weren't exactly powerhouses back then, but it was still an extremely difficult schedule. As were any other years the Bear was scheduling the season. He used to take Bama on the road to USC, Nebraska and Notre Dame. All powerhouses back then. He didn't back down, nor did he let the team be intimidated. College has gotten to be more about economics than playing quality opponents. Maybe old school isn't so bad after all.
Answer 4 :
I might put the 1973 Michigan Wolverines in that mix. 10-0-1 with the only "blemish" a 10-10 tie with #1 Ohio State. The only reason that UM didn't go to the Rose Bowl that year was a vote by Big Ten AD's that sent OSU, because UM's QB, Dennis Franklin, broke his collarbone. Otherwise I would put the 1997 Wolverines in there, 6 wins vs. top 25 teams (at #3 Penn State, #4 Ohio State, #8 Washington State @ Rose Bowl, #15 Iowa, at #15, Michigan State, at #23 Wisconsin)
Answer 5 :
1997 Michigan Wolverines might have been able to. Half their schedule was against ranked teams that year. And they went 12-0.

Can someone find my college doctor in Alabama from 1980-1983? His first or last name was Howard? HELP

Can someone find my college doctor in Alabama from 1980-1983? His first or last name was Howard? HELP!?
Its an odd question, I know, but I need to contact the doctor that I had in Birmingham Alabama while I was in college. He was a general practitioner associated with University of Alabama, and I saw him several times between 1980 and 1983. I can't remember his exact name, except that either his first or last name was Howard. Does anyone know how to search for this information?? Thanks!
