College football pick Alabama or the Florida Gators

College football pick Alabama or the Florida Gators?
If they are the SEC championship team a manager at work is offering me a 500 dollar bet on Bama. I think the Gators will beat them am I right? I am a Georgia fan so this has nothing to do with team loyalties. For me its all about the money.

Answer 1 :
I wouldn''t touch that bet.
Answer 2 :
ALABAMA i personally no their o fencive cordinator and he can beat any d
Answer 3 :
Florida. Too much speed.
Answer 4 :
yes Gators will win big 37-17
Answer 5 :
Florida easy. Alabama has been playing softies so far and I won't even go into depth about how they played Arkansas St this past weekend.
Answer 6 :
look at bama's schedule this year... the only decent team theyve played is georgia. yes they destroyed the bulldogs, but so did the gators. Not to mention a Heisman candidate on the gators. Unless UF plays bad, the gators will win. Anything can happen though, including either team losing one of their last games to miss out on the SEC championship. If Florida does beat the tide though, it will be interesting to see if they, as clearly the best one-loss team, will jump a Penn State or a BCS buster who is undefeated to get to the national title.
Answer 7 :
I would take that bet. Im not a Gaytors fan..go NOLES but the Florida Gators arethe best team in the country hands down
Answer 8 :
you are correct.
Answer 9 :
i don't think so Alabama will win hands down
Answer 10 :
That's a tough one. Someone was talking about knowing the O Coordinator for Alabama and he has an offense to beat anyone, the problem is he needs people to execute the game plan. Wilson is a sub-par QB and has looked better then years past. Alabama D has to come up big in that game and I think that Bama offense runs the ball a lot to keep FL off the field..... My heart says Roll Tide but me being a gambler says take Florida.
Answer 11 :
Florida will be favored in that match up, I'll be looking forward to betting on Bama getting points.
Answer 12 :
I am huge AL fan, FL really scares me right now. After the Ole Miss loss and Tebow stanging up in the press conference and taking full blame. FL has been on fire. Al Defense is for real. I am still not sold on John Parker he has grown a lot this year, but lets not forget last year. I think the will get us in the SEC game if we make it. LSU is going to rocking Saturday afternoon. To the fan who stated GA offense is better then AL. Give me a break. Look back over the years GA never wins the big game. Stafford is not that good. Yes he can sling the ball. But GA's offense and team is always overated. PEACH BOWL bound again. You have played two top ten teams the year and got rolled in the dirt. FACTS ARE FACTS gets some more penalties too. THAT LEADS TO POOR COACHING!!!!!
Answer 13 :
Look how Auburn beat Tebow 2 years in a row. Don't let Tebow run and make him throw. I don't think Cody will let Tebow run the ball. So Bama can beat Florida. As far as taking a bet on the game, I wouldn't. The SEC championship game is probably the riskiest game to bet on in college football.

Has anyone won more national championships than Alabama in college football?

Answer 1 :
The University of Michigan won 17 while Tommy Brady was there.
Answer 2 :
National Championships officially claimed by individual schools: 1) Princeton, 28: 1869, 1870, 1872, 1873, 1874, 1875, 1877, 1878, 1879, 1880, 1881, 1884, 1885, 1886, 1889, 1893, 1894, 1896, 1898, 1899, 1903, 1906, 1911, 1920, 1922, 1933, 1935, 1950. 2) Yale, 26: 1872, 1874, 1876, 1877, 1879, 1880, 1881, 1882, 1883, 1884, 1886, 1888, 1891, 1892, 1893, 1894, 1895, 1897, 1900, 1901, 1902, 1905, 1906, 1907, 1909, 1926. 3) Alabama, 13: 1925, 1926, 1930, 1934, 1941, 1961, 1964, 1965, 1973, 1978, 1979, 1992, 2009 4)-(3 WAY TIE) a) Michigan, 11: 1901, 1902, 1903, 1904, 1918, 1923, 1932, 1933, 1947, 1948, 1997 b) Notre Dame, 11: 1924, 1929, 1930, 1943, 1946, 1947, 1949, 1966, 1973, 1977, 1988 c) USC, 11: 1928, 1931, 1932, 1939, 1962, 1967, 1972, 1974, 1978, 2003, 2004
Answer 3 :
Football was such a different game in the early era. It was more of regional sport than a national sport so if you won the Ivy League you were the national champion. The modern era is generally thought to be the AP poll era from 1936 on. In that period, Notre Dame and Alabama are tied for most championships with 8.
Answer 4 :
Notre Dame & USC
Answer 5 :
As far as total championship selections from major selectors by school, Alabama ranks 5th with 17 behind Notre Dame (21), Michigan (22), Yale (27), and Princeton (28). But those don't really matter. As far as how many the school actually claims, Alabama ranks 3rd with 13 behind Yale (26) and Princeton (28). Currently, when counting championships, ESPN and whatnot only include the MAJOR POLL titles (AP/Coaches) from 1936 to present. And I personally don't think that's a bad idea. Alabama has 8 major poll titles and is tied with Notre Dame. They both have the most out of all other schools. Oklahoma and USC both have 7. Miami, Nebraska, and Ohio State have 5. So to answer your question, nobody has more championships than Bama and if they have a repeat in 2010, they will have the MOST major poll championships.
Answer 6 :
Trick question, since division1 has no playoffs there has never been a true "national champion".
Answer 7 :
Hell yes! Oklahoma and Notre Dame to name two. Bama claims a bunch of fake championships.
Answer 8 :
That depends, but Alabama has more national titles than any other school in an actual college championship game, all of those princeton titles and yale titles are when the football keauge was limited to the east coast mostly and a champion was picked by voters and polls. But back in the 1920s when they came up with the idea of a championship game, Yale and Princeton were irrelevant and Alabama has been dominant since
Answer 9 :
Alabama has more rings than fingers 13 natl champs !!! plus they are your 2009 champs ROLL TIDE ROLL
