Answer 1 :
thus far i say bama as the SEC has to face close games every single week. they learn to win in those kind of conditions and it prepares them a lot better for bowls. i wasn't sold on TCU being ranked and i don't think we'll know for sure about OU til they play Texas(who i also think is fairly overrated, but hey)
Answer 2 :
I say Alabama as of now. They are playing great football and destroyed Georgia (the score say otherwise but it was total domination). Oklahoma has not seen a real challenge yet and has not really proven anything. I need to see Oklahoma in a big game (not the Texas game) outside the big 12. But just like always, OK will lose to someone mediocre.
Answer 3 :
Oklahoma has the #7 ranked offense. Alabama's offense is 57th in the nation. Oklahoma's defense is 15th, Bama's is 18th. Oklahoma is better.
Answer 4 :
that is ok because alabama is much better and will kick oklahomas ass if they meet
Answer 5 :
Oklahoma. Sam Bradford is a beast unlike the much overrated Matthew Stafford. I like Penn St. at #2 with Alabama #3 and LSU #4
Answer 6 :
Neither. Oklahoma has yet to beat a good football team. Alabama will not hold up due to too many freshman.
Answer 7 :
neither a nor b but my answer is c the Missouri Tigers Lets look at the offenses shall we Mizzou is ranked #1 Oklahoma is ranked 7th Bama is rated 57th Defense I dont know the exact rankings but it is certainly something like this OU Mizzou Bama
Answer 8 :
LSU! Sorry, but we kick ass! PLCG~
Answer 9 :
I hate preseason rankings because they tend to screw somebody when it comes to the BCS rankings. I think we must look at this season and this season only. Based on that, you have to look at the teams each have played and how they performed. OK has only played one ranked opponent (TCU #24). AL has played two ranked teams (Clemson #9 and Georgia #3). AL-1, OK-0. Next the collective record of OK opponents is s 8-10 while the it is 11-10. AL-2, OK-0. Lets say that there were no preseason rankings, the Clemson ranking would be a fluke as well as Alabama's #23 preseason ranking a joke as well. Head to Head would produce one heck of a game, but for right now based on this season...I would say Bama has proved more... I am a Bama fan though...but these are the facts through my tinted glass
Answer 10 :
As of now, I'm going with Bama. We'll see how it goes though.
Answer 11 :
Alabama, Roll Tide!!
Answer 12 :
I'm an SEC man, but I think the way Bama played against UGA makes a good case for Bama...we'll have to see how OU fares against a real test...
Answer 13 :
Best or Better? Neither team is the best in the nation. Oklahoma is untested to date and Alabama has beaten up on some teams that were way above where they should be (Clemson loses to Maryland and falls out of the Top 25) (Georgia hasn't belonged in the Top 15 since Week 1). Let Alabama face a real team... one they won't play until LSU... and then see how they fare. Best football team is LSU. QB issues are completely out of everyone's minds after Lee's heroics during the Auburn game and his consistency last week at Miss. St. Their one weakness is that teams can throw the ball on them. We'll see how the secondary develops.
