idk about wisconsin. I think you're talking about madison? anyways i go to a high school near there so i know a good number of kids who go there and their gpa's were pretty high. I know two of them had 3.8 (not sure about the others). Plus, since it's out of state, they usually give preference to kids who live in wisconsin. Your SAT score is good though, so you should just try applying. If you don't get in, and that's the school you really want to go to, you can try transferring your sophomore year. There's a lot of kids who drop out after one year because of all the partying haha, so it's much easier to get in when you transfer

I'm assuming that your SAT scores is 1250 out of 1600. Your GPA is still pretty low for Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, Clemson and College of Charleston. Your best chances are at Alabama and Old Miss.

I'm a Clemson alum so I can speak to your question about that school..don't know much about the others, unfortunately. It's going to be a bit of a challenge getting into Clemson, I'm afraid. 3 of their 4 highest selection criteria are SAT/ACT score, high school GPA/strength of record, and state of residency (the fourth is class rank). Regarding SATs, your SAT score is above their average (which I believe is around 1225 for this year's class) but below the 75th percentile (which is 1320--see first link). I would strongly recommend you try to raise your SAT to at least 1300. Regarding GPA, the average (unweighted) GPA for entering freshman is 3.59 (see second link). Yours is well below that average which I think is going to present your biggest obstacle. What is your class rank? If it's in the top 25%, that will help you. Regarding CofC: their admissions are not as rigid as Clemson's, but they're still considered a competitive school to get into. I don't have as much information on them, unfortunately. Best of luck!
