Answer 1 :
Hi there, I am from Alabama so maybe I can help you out with this question. The best place for Aerospace would probably have to be UAH(University of Alabama Huntsville). You have a wide selections of good colleges in ALA. Good Luck to you
Answer 2 :
I work in the aviation engineer full-time. I would just say spend a summer or a couple of weeks shadowing people working on aircraft and see if that's what you really want. I use to think I wanted to work in the weapons systems field until I found out where weapons at tested and where I'd have to live year around (desert environments).

Could the best college team in the Land say Alabama or Texas compete with the worst NFL team

Could the best college team in the Land say Alabama or Texas compete with the worst NFL team?

Answer 1 :
I don't believe so. I think the detroit lions of last year (0-16), would dominate against either of them.
Answer 2 :
Nope. NFL players are much bigger, stronger, and faster.
Answer 3 :
Probably not very well. Any pro team is probably to big, to strong and to smart for any single college team. Remember, that pro team, bad as it is, was recruited from all the colleges in North America.
Answer 4 :
no. well, not this year. look at all the terrible teams: detroit (when stafford's healthy) is still decent. cleveland has turned things around with harrison oakland's defense is coming back, and has been passing a lot better houston, who used to be just disgusting, now has a positive record kansas city, probably the worst team, beat the saints. and all these teams have the best players in the country. they are also bigger, stronger, faster, smarter, and more experienced. so, no. they couldn't compete with the NFL
Answer 5 :
No. Case closed.
Answer 6 :
It depends on what you mean by compete. The best college team in the land would be a serious underdog against any NFL team.
Answer 7 :
I would love to see it. But nope. Even the worst team in the NFL would dominate The Best College team. Not just with talent, but with the Idea of being embarrassed by a bunch of 18-21 year old kids.
Answer 8 :
Only 10 players on the best college team will ever even play in the NFL. maybe 5 will start
Answer 9 :
No. Realize that an NFL team is made up of the best college players. Even a bad NFL team would kill a very good college team.
Answer 10 :
Not even close. Rough guess, there might be 10 guys on the field Thursday night that will ever play in the NFL. Detroit might be bad but at least they are all NFL players.
Answer 11 :
I don't think so. The pro teams are more experienced, and have better depth of talent. They are also a lot stronger.
Answer 12 :
Not a chance!
Answer 13 :
No and you're an idiot if you can even consider it. The best college team of the last decade would not come within 3 TD's of the worst NFL team of the decade.
Answer 14 :
not a chance..
Answer 15 :
They probably could right up to the opening kickoff. Then it would be all downhill from there!! Maybe if Alabama and Texas had both their teams on the field(22 players) for the whole game they might be able to compete.
Answer 16 :
Yea...if they let Ndamokong Suh play for either team!!!
Answer 17 :
it depends.. if was Alabama with SEC refs.. probably.. but on a level playing field? haha.. here's my take.. worst team in NFL.. is what Tampa Bay? you realize Carnell Williams hit 80 yards on his first ever play vs Alabama in college?
Answer 18 :
Of course not. 10% to 20% of an awesome college team are good enough to go pro, all of the players on ANY pro team were good enough.
Answer 19 :
No. Never. Just like the top high school football team could not compete with the worst college football team.

LGBT: Need opinions on Alabama for college

LGBT: Need opinions on Alabama for college...?
I'm a senior in High School and I am looking into a career in the Computer Science field. I was talking with our career center person and she suggested University Of Alabama which was a little random I thought considering she said it was 'well known in the field'. Is that true about UA? It is also surprisingly cheaper than if I stayed in my home state for college, which I like, so I was wondering what is it like in that area for being LGBT and out? I'm the 'straight' gay guy. Please and Thank You =] I know it's not ideal like California for being gay, but I don't know exactly HOW bad it is. My friend in Tennessee doesn't get that much crap about being gay, but he also goes to an Arts school. And she did said University of Alabama, but I'll double check today when I talk to her more. I've looked into UC Berkley, Harvey Mudd, University Of Advancing Technology. UA is near Tuscaloosa.

Answer 1 :
You should go to California or New York, Period. Enjoy this fun video!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VWC17ni3yU
Answer 2 :
I thought everyone knew Alabama was not a particularly good place for being gay and out. And I am from the South and have never heard that Bama is good for Comp. Sci. Honestly, outside of schools of general prestige such as Ivy League schools, "public Ivies" like Michigan, Virginia, UCLA, UC Berkeley, etc, MIT, CalTech, Stanford, Duke, etc, it doesn't matter where you attend school for a particular profession.
Answer 3 :
USA surprisingly is a good school. i graduated in 09 and i go to USA. though i'm majoring in art and literature. college is a lot more open than high school. if u do decide to go there email me at daniadr@comcast.net ill help u with the gay circle. i know plenty of lezzies there and there r a few gay guys n our group. UA? is that in northern Alabama? r u sure u werent told University of South Alabama? it is the most popular in the state. well that and Auburn. what do u mean by straight gay guy? well i hoped i helped, there r a** holes everywhere but we got family at USA.
Answer 4 :
Are your grades good enough for Auburn? I would assume that the larger schools would have more LGBT students. And, there would be more chance to find a boyfriend, right? ;] Just try one of the large state schools and you should be fine.
